| One Million Strong An economic base for Nubian's in America Now there is no reason why Nubian's cannot have anything that is needed to provide economic stability and financial independence for the masses of Nubian's in America and even assist families in Africa. Nubian's spend approximately 1 Trillion dollars a year into the American economy, yet they are the least benefiting with only 5% of those expenditures going to the community. It is the goal of this group of people to be the spark that lights the fire for a revolution of economic freedom for the masses. Nubian's have many people and organizations that provide leadership, knowledge, and information for financial growth. However, there is not a group of this magnitude that has been a focal point to help build schools, hospitals, small businesses, and other very important career opportunities for Nubian's, just to name a few. The purpose of this group is to first organize nationally and then globally to effectively give Nubian's a base to provide wealth and financial stability for the future and collectively bring positive change to a nation within a nation. We would like to propose that Nubian's start building a facility to manufacture CD’s and other musical products that are used and bought by millions. Just think, our children can have something that they can say we own and contribute to society. It is time out for us to stop buying from others and really support our own. We applaud those that are already doing this. We should be distributing our music and stop allowing these other companies to pimp our music and sell it back to us. Also, someone needs to create some type of model for a car. We can have our own dealership and manufacture the cars. We can go out and buy the Hummers and Bentleys, yet some of our families cannot even get enough to ride the bus. On one extreme solution, we should refuse to buy another automobile unless it is Nubian designed, manufactured, and produced. These suggestions, along with many others will help to give our kids a chance to feel good about their contributions and make a strong statement in the economy and the lives of our families. Let us not underestimate our legal representatives, medical professions, educators, brick masons, accountants, motivational outlets, and many other facets of society that we can maneuver to help this revolution that has begun. The movement has already begun and we need to capture it right now in this year of determination and dedication. Schools need to be built, affordable day care needs to be provided and the One Million Strong can catapult us into the next realm. Do you remember Tulsa, Oklahoma, Black Wall Street!? Also, please check out urbanwallstreet.tv delivered by Earl Christian, III. While discussing the needs and immediate attention areas in our communities with my friends Arthur “Scott” Johnson and Terrell Wicker, The One Million Strong became an idea. Along with their help and thoughts, the One Million Strong has blossomed into a plan of action. This is not a joke. I know that many of you can contribute and even make it better than it sounds on paper and make it a reality. The One Million Strong should be a dedicated group that will answer every call. If the hospital is about to close, the Strong can help save it. If the school is being shut down, the Million will provide our kids with the opportunity to learn by buying the building or building our own schools with curriculum that is set by some of the best educators in the world-US. I encourage and challenge you to submit your thoughts and together we will develop a better way for our kids. Also, we will leave a wealth of knowledge and legacy for our future generations by truly organizing. Although there are many organizations and outlets working to improve our community, it is my strong opinion that the Strong will bring those and Millions together as One forever and ever. Finally, I hear the voices saying it’s not that simple. However, we must begin to simplify things and make real strides. The idea will only help to empower yet the financial stability will ensure empowerment. Empower us to be the force and strength needed for a nation of people needing to be saved from its own destruction. .25 cents a week by one million people is 13 million dollars a year. DO THE MATH |

| We Need Education with Entertainment We need to have our own manufacturing company for our music which will in turn, help give us economic stability. Then, of course, we must have a distribution company and the trucks to deliver our CDs and DVDs to the stores. Surely, if we can raise money to run for president and hold positions of power, profit from having TV shows with our names on them, afford to buy or have shares in major pro sports teams, then we can easily afford these things for our community. We need to develop some type of trade and technical academies that are centered with the type of services that are needed in our communities. For example, we have to wait for someone to build a subdivision, when we can educate our own on being brick masons, carpenters, and homebuilders. We can spend millions for holidays, birthdays, and celebrations, but can we come together all the time and not wait to be told which day to honor and celebrate? We have to stop trying to individually come up and begin to collectively come together. For only as a nation we will rise. Furthermore, let’s not forget that our children watch everything they see us do and others too. Not to mention, developing within will give a lot of our people jobs and the opportunity to network and use the resources that we do have available to us. Also, ownership and entrepreneurship will help in keeping our families together. I know that economics is just basic math; without it you are left with nothing. So, when you add it all up: the numbers are astronomical. Plenty of money within our people that can save us all and that is why we have to be a nation within a nation. The first shall be last as it shall return to be first. It’s time for our nation to solve the problems of crime and illiteracy. It’s time for us as a nation to prepare for the future of our great-great grandchildren’s children. And last, but certainly not least, we need more TV stations, mobile TV and radio that include educational activities and career outlets for our youth. Entertainment is very educational; just ask a music teacher. Inevitably, it is upon us to lead a nation that will provide true values and morals for the world. |
